Step 1 – Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together ssamjang, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and water until smooth and well incorporated.
Step 2 – Marinate the chicken: Place chicken cubes in a bowl and add half of the prepared glaze. Mix well to coat and marinate for at least 20 minutes. Reserve remaining glaze for basting.
Step 3 – Assemble the skewers: Thread marinated chicken, bell pepper chunks, and green onion pieces alternately onto soaked wooden skewers.
Step 4 – Cook the skewers:
- Grill method: Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through.
- Pan method: Cook in a grill pan over medium heat for the same duration.
- Oven method: Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 15-18 minutes.
