Instructions:
Step 1 – Prepare the cabbage: Carefully separate the cabbage leaves. Blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes or steam in the microwave for 5 minutes until tender. Rinse under cold water and pat dry thoroughly.
Step 2 – Season the rice: In a mixing bowl, combine warm cooked rice, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and chopped green onions. Mix until evenly distributed.
Step 3 – Assemble the wraps: Lay each cabbage leaf flat and place 2-3 spoonfuls of seasoned rice in the center. Top with julienned cucumber and carrot, then spread ½ teaspoon of ssamjang over the filling.
Step 4 – Roll and serve: Roll tightly like a burrito, folding in the sides as you go. Slice into bite-sized pieces if desired and arrange on a serving plate.
